Box Score BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team cruised to a straight set victory over Yeshiva on Thursday evening. Set scores were 25-15, 25-5, and 25-13.

Jo-Marie Aquino (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman), who tallied 14 kills, nine digs, and seven service aces. Sophomore libero
Lizette Medina (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) helped anchor the defense with 14 digs. As a team, Lehman produced 24 service aces.
Lehman trailed 14-13 in the first set, but would respond by scoring 12 of the stanza's last 13 points, capped off by a kill from Aquino, to win the set. In the second, Lehman scored nine unanswered points to jump out to an 11-2 advantage. During that run, senior setter
Imani Dubois (West Palm Beach, Fla./J.P. Taravella) produced five service aces, including three in a row, to help spark the Lightning. Lehman never looked back as the home team won the second set, 25-5.
In the third frame, Lehman trailed 5-3. Once again, the Blue and Gold produced a furious rally by scoring 10 unanswered points. Highlighted in that run was five service aces by Aquino. After the Maccabees (1-9) pulled to within 14-12, Lehman scored the next four points, capped off by a service ace from junior opposite hitter
Salveira Gonzalez (Bronx, N.Y./Riverdale-Kingsbridge Academy) to make it 18-12 in favor of the home team. With Lehman having a set-point opportunity, sophomore outside hitter
Lindsay Pantaleon (New York, N.Y./George Washington) scored an ace to give the Lightning their 10
th win of the season.
Dubois produced 19 assists, nine digs, and six service aces, while Gonzalez added seven kills and three aces. Pantaleon tallied four aces, while Medina scored two. Sophomore outside hitter
Monique Young (Bronx, N.Y./Harry S. Truman) produced two kills, one service ace, and one dig, while classmate
Chaochi Lee (Elmhurst, N.Y./Flushing) slammed home one kill, scored one ace, and chipped in on defense with three digs. Freshman middle blocker
Yzaira Galan (Yonkers, N.Y./Gorton) tallied a block assist and classmate
Dialys Mendez (Bronx, N.Y./Louis D. Brandeis) recorded one kill.
The Lightning will return to the APEX Main Gym on Tuesday, for a non-conference match against Old Westbury, at 7:00 p.m. It will be Senior Night as Lehman College will honor Aquino and Dubois with a ceremony prior to the start of the match.
