BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis team fell to Kean University, 6-3, in a non-conference match on the APEX Tennis Courts on Friday afternoon.
The Lightning were led by junior
Lynessa George (Bronx, N.Y./New Covenant Christian), who was a double winner. She won at #2 singles, 10-4. She teamed up with classmate
Kantomalala Rasedoara (Woodside, N.Y./Newcomers) to win a close #1 doubles match, 8-7. Senior
Neralda Zuniga (New York, N.Y./Dual Language & Asian Studies) won at #5 singles, 10-5.
The Lightning will be back in action on Tuesday, for a CUNY Athletic Conference match with the City College of New York, beginning at 3:30 p.m. The match will take place on the APEX Tennis Courts, but CCNY will be the official home team.
