Box Score 2 PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team dropped both matches in the Golden Eagles Tri-Match, on the campus of St. Joseph's College of Long Island, on Saturday afternoon. The Lightning fell to the host Golden Eagles in straight sets and lost to Manhattanville, 3-0.
In the match against St. Joseph's College of Long Island, set scores were 25-17, 25-16, and 26-24. The Lightning were led by senior outside hitter
Jo-Marie Aquino (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman), who tallied eight kills, 12 digs, and three assists. Junior opposite hitter
Salveira Gonzalez (Bronx, N.Y./Riverdale-Kingsbridge Academy) produced seven kills, while sophomore opposite hitter
Monique Young (Bronx, N.Y./Harry S. Truman) produced two service aces. Senior setter
Imani Dubois (West Palm Beach, Fla./J.P. Taravella) had 13 assists, while sophomore outside hitter
Lindsay Pantaleon (New York, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) and classmate
Lizette Medina (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) each produced seven digs.
In the match against Manhattanville, set scores were 25-12, 25-18, and 25-11. Aquino added six kills, four aces, and a match-high 21 digs. Gonzalez had seven kills with six digs, while Dubois had 11 assists and nine digs. Sophomore defensive specialist,
Chaochi Lee (Elmhurst, N.Y./Flushing) had one assist.
The Lightning will be back in action on Friday, for a non-conference match against St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn, in the APEX Main Gym. The contest is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
