Brooklyn jumped out to an early lead, going up by 12 just eight minutes into the game. Lehman would hang around but the hosts still lead going into the break, 44-32. In the second half, the Bulldogs went up by 10 with 7:46 left on two free throws from Williams. That's when the Lightning dug deep and slowly began to claw their way back into the game. Down eight with 2:59 left, Andrew Utate hit a three, followed by a layup from Minott to pull to within three. After a missed free throw from the Bulldogs, Miller was fouled on a three-point attempt with 54 seconds left, making two to pull Lehman to within one for the first time since early in the first half. After two Brooklyn free throws, the Lightning went for a game-tying three with Williams recovering a tremendous offensive rebound, drawing the foul with ten seconds remaining. He made both of them and Lehman fouled immediately, sending Williams to the line to put the Bulldogs back up by three. Lehman called timeout to advance the ball to midcourt, setting the stage for Miller's heroics. The senior buried the game-tying triple with five seconds left. Brooklyn couldn't get a shot off, and the teams went to overtime tied 86-86. The Lightning had outscored the Bulldogs 12-4 over the final three minutes of the game.

Early in overtime, Minott tied it at 88 on a layup and Pascual followed up a minute layer to give Lehman their first lead of the night. Brooklyn pushed back down the stretch, but the Lightning to the lead again off another Pascual basket with just 20 seconds remaining, 97-96. With 11 seconds left Chris Mcillhatton buried a three for the Bulldogs, putting the Lightning down by two. After a missed three, Lehman was forced to foul. Down three with four seconds left, Miller attempted to repeat his game-tying feat, only to come up short. A put-back by Minott as time expired could only pull the Lightning to within one.

With the result, the Bulldogs take sole possession of first place in the CUNYAC standings with Lehman in second.

The Lightning will be back on the court on Saturday when they play host to the City College of New York for their Homecoming in a 12:00 p.m. game.
