Kofi Mends and Kesean Tracey have been named to the 2025-26 NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) Honors Court.

The NABC has announced the recipients of the 2025-26 NABC Honors Court, representing achievement in the classroom by men's college basketball players.

The NABC Honors Court, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.

Mends, a Computer Information Systems major, owns a 3.30 grade point average.  The Bronx native appeared in 28 games, with 25 starts, while averaging 8.9 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.  He netted a career high 23 points in the CUNYAC Championship victory over CCNY.  He led the Lightning in 3-poinit shooting proficiency converting 41% of his attempts behind the arc.  Mends was also Vice-President of SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee).  Tracey, a business management major owns a 3.48 grade point average.  Appeared 28 games, with 21 starts, for Lightning, while averaging 7.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.   He led the team in both steals (55) and assists (132).

"College basketball student-athletes do incredible things on the court, but their achievements in the classroom are equally worthy of celebration," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson. "Education is one of the NABC's core values, and the hundreds of programs and thousands of athletes represented on these awards reinforce the commitment to academic success that exists across all levels of our sport."

The NABC's academic awards recognizes student athletes from all levels of college basketball.
