Florham, NJ - The Women's Swimming and Diving team dropped their season finale 107.5-85.5 to FDU-Florham in their final dual meet of the year as did the men's team 92-87.
WOMENAngela Mejia tied for the top spot in the 50 yard freestyle posting a time of 27.41. In the relays the Lightning won the 200 yard medley as the squad of
Melody Ovalles, Mejia, Elizabeth Oladele and
Gabriela Garcia posted a 2:10.22 to win by more than two seconds.
MENAnthony Preda won the 50 yard freestyle by a second posting a 22.46. Preda also won the 100 yard breast stroke in 58.82. He was the only competitor to break the one minute mark. In the relays the Lightning won the 200 yard medley as Chris Fischer,
Jeremy Guerra,
Adam Acevedo and Preda posted a 1:44.68.
Both squads will be back in action February 5-7 in the APEX pool as the Lightning will once again host the CUNYAC Championships.
