Lightning and Hawks Set to Tangle in Manhattan

Bronx, NY - The Lightning will start their two game road trip tonight with a trip to mid-town Manhattan to face Hunter College. They will end their road trip at York College in Queens.

The Lehman (15-6:10-2) women's squad have won their last six and look to continue their winning ways. Earlier this season, Lehman defeated the Hawks 74-64 in the APEX. That was the first victory in this six game streak. In that contest Amely Del Rosario, this week's CUNYAC Player of the Week yet again, led the way with 27 points. Karrin Walker posted a double double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Yarmese Jones came off the bench to score 14 points as the Lightning shot an impressive 28-61 (.459) from the field.

The Hawks enter tonight's contest with a record of 8-14 overall and 5-8 in conference play. Tip-off in the Sportsplex is at 5:00 PM.

The Lehman men stand at 16-6 overall and 10-3 in CUNYAC. The balanced attack has proven to be the winning formula for Coach Schulman this season. The Lightning's Olando Minott and Chaun Miller continue to carry the load. Combined the duo average 36 points and 12.6 rebound per night. Sixth man Andrew Utate has scored double figures in the Lightning's last two games and six out of the last eight. Earlier this season in the APEX the Lightning came away with a 78-61 victory. Miller and Minott led the way with 21 and 20 points respectively.

The Hawks stand at 3-20 and 3-11 and have dropped their last two, a 15 point decision against Medgar Evers and a 103-96 setback at Brooklyn.
