The Lehman College men's basketball team will play back to back for the second time this year as they host Southern Vermont at 2:00 PM on Saturday. The Indoor track and field teams will travel to New Haven to participate in Yale University Season Opener.
The men's basketball team is fresh off an 85-62 victory over Brooklyn College in a CUNYAC conference match-up.
Mylo Mitchell led the way with 25 points while shooting 7-10 from the field and 5-8 from long range and 6-7 from the charity stripe.
Andrew Utate added 21 and
Tevon Bennett came off the bench to chip in 10.
Ja-Zhyoun Laing led all players with 11 rebounds. Lehman now stands at 5-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play. Southern Vermont stands at 6-0 overall after downing Sage earlier this week 88-74. It is the best start in program history. The Mountaineers are led by Mike Pierre. The senoir guard is averaging 16.5 points per game. Three other players Tyler McCleod (13.3 ppg), Claude Payne (10.7 ppg) and Josh Borders (10.0 ppg) are all averaging double figures.
