The Lehman women's volleyball team dropped a straight set decision at Bard 25-8, 25-12, 25-23.  The Lightning fall to 0-2 while the Raptors earn their first win and now stand at 1-4. 

Caitlin Vernon and Paulette Sepulveda led the way with four and three kills respectively.  Franchesca Acevedo was credited with two service aces.  Samantha Delgado recorded a team high seven assists and Vernon led the way with nine digs. 

The first set was all Bard as they jumped out to a 5-0 and never looked back.  In the second set with the score tied at 8, the Raptors went on a 10-2 to take control of the set.  In the third set, the Lightning jumped out to an 11-7 lead but could not hold on.  Bard rallied to tie the set at 14.  The teams took turns with the lead until the set was tied at 23.  A pair of kills by the Raptors secured the third set and the victory.

The Lightning look for their first win of the season on Thursday night when they travel to Maritime College.  First serve is 7:00 PM.
