Four Lightning Teams In Action On Saturday

Bronx, N.Y. – Four Lehman College athletic teams will be in action this Saturday as men's & women's basketball sides commence CUNYAC play as they visit John Jay College, while both (men's & women's) indoor track and field squads travel West Point, N.Y. to take part at Army Crowell Open Invitational.

The Lightning start off Saturday morning at Gillis Field House when they compete in a total of 32 indoor track and field events starting at 9:20 am.  The men's team is led by Joshua Roman who second at CUNYAC Cross-Country Championships last month, while the Lehman women's side are paced by newcomer Glory Odeh who finished eighth at the same conference tournament.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Lightning women's basketball (0-3, 0-0 CUNYAC) will look for their first victory of the season when they take on conference rival John Jay Bloodhounds (3-2, 0-0 CUNYAC) at The Doghouse in New York City at 1 pm.  Fans can also follow all the action via live stats and live stream.

Lehman has won 10 consecutive women's basketball encounters against John Jay going back to January 28, 2013, which was the last time the Lightning were beaten by the Bloodhounds (75-57).  The previous meeting between the two sides took place on Jan. 27th of this year at The APEX Main Gym with Lehman posting a 100-49 win. 
 
Also the Lehman men's basketball (2-2, 0-0 CUNYAC) invade The Doghouse on Saturday as it faces John Jay (3-2, 0-0 CUNYAC) at 3 pm in the CUNYAC Game of the Week.  Fans can also follow all the action via live stats and live stream.

The Lightning have won five consecutive games against the Bloodhounds going back to Jan. 20, 2016, which was the last victory by John Jay over Lehman (73-71).  The previous meeting between the two teams was held on February 20th of this year during the CUNYAC Championship Semifinals with the Lightning earning a 78-55 triumph.
