After a three set sweep over Yeshiva to start the season, the Lightning will take their 1-0 record to New Jersey to face the College of Saint Elizabeth and Medgar Evers College in a tri-match beginning at 10 AM.  This will be the opening match of the year for both the Eagles and Cougars.  The match against Medgar Evers is classified as a non-conference affair.   

On Friday Lehman won in three sets (25-18, 25-18, 25-10) over the Maccabees.  Newcomer Eriadna Vasquez, along with returners Caitlin Vernon and Paulette Sepulveda led the way with six kills apiece.  Vasquez also recorded a team high seven service aces.  Samantha Delgado recorded a team high 13 assists.
