Lehman has won seven of the 10 previous encounters against Hunter, including the last three at home.  The last time Hawks won at The APEX was on February 21, 2015, 57-54, during the CUNYAC Championship Quarterfinals.

Most recently, Hunter has taken two out of the last three meetings against Lehman.  The previous match-up between the two sides took place earlier last month (Jan. 7th), with Hunter posting a 75-36 victory at home.  Cheema and forward Khadijah Sangare had eight points each for the Lightning.

Friday's nightcap features Lightning men (7-12; 5-7 CUNYAC) against the Hawks (4-16; 2-9 CUNYAC).  Lehman is coming off a thrilling 61-58 overtime conference win against hosts Brooklyn on Tuesday.  Forward Miguel Haboosh scored 15 points including the game-winning three-point, from three-quarter court, at the buzzer for the Lightning.  Forward Andre Hampton also recorded his fourth double-double of the season for Lehman with 15 points and 12 rebounds.    Meanwhile, Hunter lost its fifth consecutive game as it dropped an 88-77 non-conference affair to visiting Connecticut College on Wednesday.

The Lightning have won 11 consecutive games against the Hawks, with Hunter's last victory coming on Jan. 24, 2014 (79-64) at Huntersportsplex.  The last time the Hawks triumphed at The APEX was on Dec. 4, 2013, 73-63.

The previous meeting between the two sides came on Jan. 7th of this year with Lehman earning an 81-69 road victory.  Forward Isaiah Geathers sparked the Lightning's offense with 21 points, while Haboosh had 19 and guard Will Feldman added 12 points.

Also on Friday at The APEX but in the swimming pool, the three-day CUNYAC Championships commence at 4:30 pm.

The Lightning, under head coach Peter Kiernan, are aiming to improve their performance from the previous CUNYAC Championships as both men and women finished fourth.  The last time Lehman captured CUNYAC title was the men's side doing so in 2013.
