A Busy Saturday for Lehman Student Athletes

Bronx, NY – The women's volleyball team heads to New Jersey to participate in the William Paterson Tri-Match along with Kings (NY).  The women's soccer team heads to Queens to battle York in the CUNYAC opener for both teams.  The men's soccer team heads to Randall's Island for a rare Saturday night contest with CUNYAC rival CCNY.  Meanwhile the tennis team hosts Baruch at Noon. 

After earning a victory over York this past Thursday night the Lightning find themselves back on the road for a tri-match at William Paterson.  The win snapped a seven match skid.  Franchesca Acevedo led the Lightning with eight kills while Andrea Alarcon and Maria Garcia assed six kills apiece.  The Lightning will get underway at 11 AM today as they participate in the William Paterson Tri-Match.  The contest against Kings (NY) is tentatively scheduled for 1 PM.  Fans can follow both match via live stats

 After starting the season 4-0 the Lehman women's tennis team has dropped their last two matches by identical score of 6-3.  The Lightning begin the CUNYAC portion of the schedule on Saturday as they host 2-1 Baruch.  The first serve is scheduled for 12 PM.
 
The women's soccer team also begins CUNYAC play on Saturday as they taken on York (0-4) in a contest where both teams are looking for their first victory of the season.  The Cardinals have not played in two weeks.  In their last outing, York fell 6-1 to Penn State Abington while Lehman dropped a 2-1 decision against NJCU.  The match will be contested at Queens College with a 12 PM kick-off. The men's soccer team looks to right the ship having dropped their last two contests. Lehman will travel to Randall's Island to face CCNY (0-5) in the CUNYAC opener for both teams.  Lehman (5-2) is being led by a pair of veterans.  Eduardo Victorio and Mubarak Ouro have each recorded 7 points this year.  Ouro has three goals and an assist while Victorio has two goals and three assists.  The 7 PM start will be the Lightning's final regular season night game of the season.  Live stats will not be available.
