Bronx, N.Y. – Two Lehman College women's athletic teams will be in action on Thursday as tennis squad visits CUNYAC rival York College-NY at 3:30 pm, while the volleyball side hosts New York University (NYU) in a non-conference match-up set for 7 pm.
The Lightning tennis (4-4; 1-1 CUNYAC) are coming off an conference 8-1 loss at John Jay College. Meanwhile the Cardinals (0-2; 0-0 CUNYAC) last outing took place on September 21
st, as they dropped a 9-0 decision at St. Joseph's College-LI in a non-conference encounter.
Lehman has a 7-3 head-to-head record and won six straight against York-NY since 2009. The last meeting between the two squads took place on Sept. 27, 2018, at The APEX Tennis Courts with the Lightning winning 9-0.

The Lightning are coming off a three set loss (5-25, 8-25, 11-25) at William Paterson University on Saturday, while the Violets dropped two of three matches during a four-team robin-robin event held at Brandeis University over the weekend. After losing consecutive three set matches to University of Chicago (18-25, 19-25, 23-25) and Washington University in St. Louis (20-25, 25-27, 29-31), respectively, NYU concluded the event with a 3-1 win (25-18, 15-25, 25-17, 25-18) against Case Western Reserve University.
