Box Score 2 Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team earned a split of twin-bill this evening at The APEX Main Gym after losing to College at Old Westbury but then topping Yeshiva University. The Lightning improve to 1-3 on the season, while Old Westbury Panthers go to 1-0 mark and Yeshiva Maccabees fall to 0-4 record.
Lehman opened the non-conference tri-match against Old Westbury and lost in three straight sets (13-25, 12-25, 12-25). Adriana Pradieu had three kills, while
Franchesca Acevedo notched four service aces and
Christine Tran added eight digs for the Lightning.
Lehman rebounded to earn its first victory of the season as it defeated Yeshiva in three sets (25-13, 25-12, 25-18). Acevedo led the Lightning offense with eight kills and seven aces, while Pradieu added six kills and four aces.
Lehman will hit the road this Saturday to New Haven, Conn., as it takes on Nichols College and hosts Albertus Magnus College in a non-conference tri-match.
