The women's tennis team heads to Brooklyn while the cross country make the short jaunt to Van Cortlandt Park.
The women's tennis team will take on the fourth seed Brooklyn College in the first round of the CUNYAC Championships. Action from the Roosevelt Courts on the Brooklyn campus gets underway at 12:30 PM. Earlier this season, the Bulldogs upended the Lightning 7-2. In that match, the Lightning got victories from
Viola Avdyli at first singles and at first doubles when she teamed with
Joanna Rosario.
The men's and women's cross-country squads will compete at Van Cortlandt Park for the second consecutive week. This time the Lightning will be competing in a double dual with York and Medgar Evers. Last week
Glory Odeh came away as the top women's finisher, posting a 29:19.30 over the 6 K course.
