Box Score 2 Bronxville, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team dropped two non-conference matches to College at Old Westbury and hosts Sarah Lawrence College on Saturday at the Campbell Sports Center.
The Lightning (5-15) dropped three straight (14-25, 19-25, 14-25) sets to Old Westbury Panthers in the opener. Outside hitter Selena Mitchell led the Lehman offense with eight kills, while teammate Daira Hernandez had seven kills. Setter Heder Rodriguez dished out 13 assists and grabbed eight digs, while libero Lizbeth Perez also had eight digs.
In the nightcap, the Lightning lost three sets to one (19-25, 13-25, 26-24, 22-25) against the Sarah Lawrence Gryphons (13-16). Mitchell hit a career-high 21 kills for Lehman, while also grabbing 11 digs. Rodriguez also had a 'double-double' with 22 assists and 18 digs.
The playoff bound Lightning will conclude the regular season on Monday (October 31
st) when they visit Yeshiva University at 7 pm ET.
