Bronx, N.Y. – Both Lehman College basketball teams along with men's volleyball squad will be in action this Wednesday.
The Lightning volleyballers (1-1) will stage their home opener on Wednesday as they take on non-conference opponent Pratt Institute (0-2) at The APEX Main Gym with first serve set for 7 pm ET. Fans can follow all the men's volleyball action via
live stream.
Both sides faced off, for the very first time, last weekend during a tri-match held at St. Joseph's College-LI with Lehman posting a three-set victory (25-13, 25-5, 25-21) over Pratt.
Ray Rodriguez led the way for the Lightning with 16 kills and five digs, while
Miguel Gonzalez had 12 kills and
Christian Agudo dished out 32 assists along with seven digs.
Also, on Wednesday, both Lightning hoopsters travel to Manhattan for a CUNYAC twin-bill against John Jay College as women's sides square off at 6 pm ET, while the men's squads meet at 8 pm ET. Fans can follow all the basketball action via live stats and live stream:

Lehman women (3-12; 2-6 CUNYAC) is coming off a 70-48 conference loss at Hunter College this past Monday.
Brianna Barnes paced the Lightning offense with her 12
th 'double-double' of the season as she scored 15 points and grabbed 12 boards.
Meanwhile, the John Jay Bloodhounds (12-8; 7-3 CUNYAC) posted a 97-50 victory against visiting CCNY over the weekend.
The Lightning have a 35-16 advantage in the head-to-head record against Bloodhounds since 1985, however, John Jay has won the last five meetings. In the previous encounter, last month (January 15
th), the Bloodhounds posted a 59-52 triumph at The APEX. Barnes scored 20 points with 14 rebounds.
In the twin-bill nightcap in Manhattan, the Lehman men (16-3; 9-2 CUNYAC) will looking to get back on winning track as it faces John Jay (9-11; 6-4 CUNYAC).
The Lightning are coming off a conference loss of 76-66 at York College-NY over the weekend with
Gian Batista scoring 19 points.
Meanwhile, the Bloodhounds topped visiting Pratt Cannoneers, 73-56, in a non-conference affair on Sunday.
Lehman holds a 49-39 edge in the head-to-head encounters against John Jay going all the way back to 1977. However, the Bloodhounds have won five of the last six over the Lightning. The last match-up between the two sides took place this past January (15
th) at The APEX with the hosts posting an 81-71 victory.
Isaiah Geathers notched 30 points with seven boards, while Batista was two assists shy (eight) of a 'triple-double' as he scored 17 points and had 10 rebounds.
