Box Score Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team lost a 3-1 (8-25, 13-25, 25-20, 11-25) CUNYAC encounter to visiting John Jay College on Tuesday evening at The APEX Main Gym.  The Lightning fall to 1-5 overall record and 1-2 in CUNYAC, while the Bloodhounds improve to 5-1 mark and 1-0 in conference play.

After dropping the first two sets, Lehman battled back and took the third game (25-20), and similar to last week when the two sides faced off in a non-conference affair, the match went to a fourth set.  However, John Jay claimed the last set for the victory.

Outsider hitter Selena Mitchell led the offense for Lightning with seven kills, six digs and two blocks, while teammate Daira Hernandez added four kills and setter Heder Rodriguez dished out nine assists and eight digs.

Lehman returns to action next Monday (September 26^th) when it hosts St. Joseph's College-LI in a non-conference encounter at The APEX Main Gym with first serve set for 7 pm ET.
