Box Score Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team fell in three consecutive sets (9-25, 18-25, 22-25) to visiting Albertus Magnus College in a non-conference affair to open the 2022 campaign at The APEX Main Gym on Thursday evening. The Lightning drop to 0-1 record, while the Falcons improve to 2-3 mark.
After losing the first two sets, Lehman trailed 12-10 in the third set before Albertus Magnus took a seven-point lead (17-10). The Lightning battled back and outscored the Falcons 12-7 and trailed, 24-22; however, Albertus Magnus held on and got the final match point for the victory.
Outside hitter
Selena Mitchell, in her first collegiate match, led the Lehman offense with eight kills, 12 digs and three service aces. Libero
Andrea Alarcon added nine digs with two kills, while setter
Heder Rodriguez dished out seven assists with two kills and seven digs.
The Lightning hit the road for CUNYAC action this Saturday when it takes on hosts CCNY and then Medgar Evers College in a tri-match.
