Bronx, N.Y. – Five Lehman College men's soccer team members won five CUNYAC accolades following the 2024 regular season as three (midfielder
Adam Kowalski, defenders
Nhlakanipho Linda and
Bright Takyi) earned first team honors, while goalkeeper
Andres Barajas and forward
Mohamed Ali Sogoba joined the all-second team.
Barajas won his first conference postseason prize after starting in goal in 16 of 17 games for the Lightning, while posting an 8-6-2 overall record with a 1.25 G.A.A. and CUNYAC leading seven shutouts.
Kowalski captures his second consecutive CUNYAC all-star accolades for Lehman after starting all 17 games, while scoring twice (both were game-winners) and dishing out a team-leading four assists.
Linda claims his first conference honors with the Lightning after seeing action as a start in 16 games, while notching two goals and two assists from the backline.
Ali Sogoba earned conference accolades during his third season at Lehman after starting in all 17 encounters, while scoring a team-high seven goals (second best in CUNYAC) and dishing out three assists.
Takyi obtained his first CUNYAC all-star accolade for the Lightning after starting in 15 games, while scoring twice and dishing out one assist.
