New York, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's and women's swimming/diving teams competed at the New York University Invitational at the Palladium Athletic Facility on Friday.

The Lightning women with the following participating in the 50 Freestyle event: Abena Abankwa, Aisling Burgos, Avery Engstrom, Danelli Lora, Bailey Reeves, Arlene Suzanna, Marlena Thoma and Gisely Velez.

For the Lehman men Brandon Coombs and Roger Sanchez also swam the 50 Freestyle narrowly missing their seasonal best times, while Brahian Castillo, swam a PR in the 100 Breast breaking 1:10 for the 1st time in 1:09.86.

Ronald Sanchez achieved another Open ECAC 'Cut' time in the 200 yd. Backstroke with a new school record time of 1:56.78 breaking Abel Dupres time of 2:00.82 from 2012.  This marks Ronald's third school record this season to go along with his 5 ECAC Individual 'Cuts' as well as the Team 200 Freestyle Relay 'Cut' achieved at the CUNY Championships.
