Burns Career-High As Men’s Basketball Win At Hunter

Box Score New York, N.Y. – Guard Cameron Burns a career-high 23 points to lead the Lehman College men's basketball team to its sixth consecutive victory on Friday evening as it defeated hosts Hunter College, 77-69, in a CUNYAC encounter, at the Hunter Sportsplex.  The Lightning go to a 16-8 overall ledger and 11-2 in CUNYAC action, while the Hawks fall to a 10-14 mark and 7-6 in conference play.

After Hunter jumped out to an early 5-0, Lehman went on a 47 to 29 run to take a 13-points lead at the intermission and held on a late comeback in the second half by the hosts for the victory.

Forward Kai Parris added 20 points and seven rebounds for the Lightning offense, while guard Juan Fernandez had 11 points.

Playoff-bound Lehman will close out the regular season at The APEX Main Gym on Tuesday (February 13th) with a marquee match-up against CUNYAC leader Baruch College at 7:30 pm ET.
