Box Score 2 Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team split a pair of home non-conference matches at The APEX Main Gym on Saturday, after losing in three-sets to St. Joseph's University-NY (20-25, 16-25, 13-25) and then won in three-sets over University of Valley Forge (25-14, 25-15, 25-23).
After losing the first set to the St. Joseph's-NY Bears (6-1), the Lightning (2-4) took an early 3-1 lead in the second set. However, St. Joseph's-NY went on a 24 to 13 run to claim the set and then won the match by capturing the third set.
Arianna Calderon led the Lehman offense with nine kills, while
Ana Mena had four kills and seven assists.
Jessica Narvaez also dished out 10 assists, while
Marlena Thoma grabbed eight digs.
In the nightcap, the Lightning took the first two sets over Valley Forge Patriots (1-7). In the third set Valley Forge claimed a 21-15 advantage, before Lehman went on a 10 to 2 run to capture the set and the match. Calderon,

Erika Vasques had four kills each for Lehman, while Narvaez and Mena each dished out 10 and seven assists, respectively.
The Lightning are back in action when they welcome CCNY in a CUNYAC match on Tuesday (September 17th) at The APEX Main Gym with first serve set for 6 pm ET.
