Lightning women's basketball players Heaven Figueroa and Isabela Araujo were named CUNYAC Women's Basketball Honorable Mention and Rookie of the Week respectively for the week ending November 30, 2025. 
 
Figueroa led the Lightning to a 61-49 victory over Ramapo in Lehman's only game of the week.  She recorded her first double double of the season scoring 20 points while grabbing 10 rebounds.  She was also credited with 5 steals and shot an impressive 10-12 from the foul line. 
 
Araujo, a freshman, was named CUNYAC Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season.  The freshman scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in the Lightning's 61-49 victory over Ramapo.  She shot 4-8 from the field and 4-6 from the charity stripe.  She was also credited with 2 assists and 2 steals.
 
The duo along with their team mates will be back in action on Saturday afternoon as they open CUNYAC play with the Bloodhounds on John Jay.  Tip-off is scheduled for 1 PM.  Fans unable to make the trip to the Doghouse on the John Jay campus can follow all the action on line via live stats and free live stream.
