Bronx, N.Y. – Two Lehman College softball team members achieved conference postseason awards as outfielder Lizbeth Perez was named all-star, while infielder Patty Sanchez was selected to the CUNYAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

Perez, who earned her fourth consecutive CUNYAC all-star accolade, led the Lightning this past season in batting average (.449), runs scored (37), total hits (40) and home runs (six).  The Bronx native, who also received honorable mention as CUNYAC Player of the Week (April 28th), started all 30 games for Lehman and led the conference in stolen bases (27).

Sanchez, who also started in all 30 games for Lehman, led the squad in doubles (nine) while batting .333 with 22 runs scored and 21 RBI.  New York City native also received honorable mention as CUNYAC Player of the Week (March 24th).
