Heaven Figueroa,
Isabela Araujo and
Amar Ndiaye all received weekly honors from the City of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC).
Figueroa was named the CUNYAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending February 8, 2026. The gradutae student led the Lightning to a 2-0 week. She 22.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 7.0 steals and 6.5 assists per game. She totaled 26 points and 16 rebounds to go along with eight assists and five steals in a win against CCNY, then recorded 19 points, nine steals and five assists against York.
Araujo was named the conference's Rookie of the Week. Araujo was a part of two Lightning wins last week, averaging 9.0 points and 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per contest. She notched nine points apiece in wins against CCNY and York.
Ndiaye was named Honorable Mention. The senior, averaged 11 points and 15.5 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for Lehman that saw the Lighting wrap up the regular season title. He posted a pair of double-doubles, notching 11 points and 15 rebounds against CCNY and 11 points and 16 boards against York. The two victories give the Lightning the CUNYAC regular season crown and the number one seed in the post season tournament.
Both Lightning teams are back in action on Wednesday evening at Hunter. THe women tip at 5 PM followed by the men's game.
