Bronx, N.Y. — The Lehman College women's tennis team is officially locked into the top five according to the 2026 CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) preseason coaches' poll released this week. The Lightning secured the No. 5 spot, earning 24 total points from the league's head coaches.
Lehman looks to climb the conference ladder this fall and secure a spot in the upcoming CUNYAC postseason.
Conference newcomer Pratt Institute took the top spot in the poll, earning five first-place votes and 47 points. Defending champion Hunter College followed in second place (43 points, two first-place votes), while Baruch College claimed third (39 points, one first-place vote). Brooklyn College edged out Lehman for fourth place with 31 points.
Rounding out the bottom half of the preseason poll are John Jay (19), Albertus Magnus (13), and York College (8).
