Lightning Close Out Regular Season On Down Note

In their final match before the conclusion of the regular season, the Lightning played a game that they would like to quickly forget, losing 6-0 to New Jersey Athletic Conference powerhouse William Paterson University on Thursday night.

The Pioneers, now 11-3-1 on the season, blitzed Lehman with five first half goals on the way to the commanding victory. William Paterson got two goals a piece from senior Julian Valerio and junior Joe Maddolin in addition to single tallies from Kene Eze and Anthony Ferrer.

With the CUNYAC Championship Quarterfinals slated to start on October 27, Lehman will look to wipe the slate clean and put their current four game losing streak, three of which came at the hands of CUNYAC opponents, behind them. The Lightning finished the season 5-11-1 overall.
