Ashraf Abubakar has been named the CUNYAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending October 18, 2026.
 
Abubakar, led the Lightning to a 3-0 week, as Lehman defeated Maritime (2-1), Delhi (1-0) and York (13-2). The Bronx native scored five goals and was credited with an assist for 11 points in Lehman's 3-0 week, scoring the game-winning goal in all three victories. The senior scored in a 2-1 win over SUNY Maritime and converted a penalty kick for the lone goal in a 1-0 victory over SUNY Delhi. He closed the week with a hat trick and an assist in a 13-2 conference win over York.

The senior and his teammates will be back in action on Wednesday at 5 PM as the Lightning host Brooklyn in a key CUNYAC rivalry match-up with playoff implications on the line.
