JERSEY CITY, N.J. - The Lehman Lightning's eight game winning streak came to an end on Monday afternoon as New Jersey City University blanked the visiting men's soccer team from the Bronx 1-0 to drop Lehman to 10-5 on the season.

Lehman has one game remaining in the regular season against Berkeley College before beginning the City University of New York Athletic Conference/Applebee's Championships next Wednesday at home.

Contrary to most of its games this season, the Lightning was outshot by the host Gothic Knights with NJCU getting eight shots through to Lehman keeper Marcos Coto-Batres compared to only three shots on goal for the Lightning.

Unfortunately for the Lightning one of those eight found the back of the net for NJCU.  In the 64th minute Tom Krychkowski broke the scoreless duel by pounding home a bouncing cross from the right side for the 1-0 lead.

The one goal turned out to be enough for Gothic Knights keeper Daniel Sequeira who faced some late-game pressure from the Lightning, including a near-equalizer by Oumar Niang in the 75th minute, which Sequeira ultimately steered away.

With the win NJCU improved to 4-10-1.
