The Lehman baseball team fell to 4-7 on Saturday afternoon, dropping a doubleheader to host College of Staten Island as it collected seven total hits in losing 5-1 and 9-0.

In the first game, CSI broke through in the second inning on a two out single by Henry Roman. It tacked on two more runs in the fourth thanks to some sloppy play by the Lightning. Shortstop Jhon Comas Disla opened the inning with an error allowing Joseph Falcone to reach. Falcone was then advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Joseph Cassano and brought home on Matthew Morales' triple to right field. Morales later crossed the plate when an offering from starter Brian Cubero got away from Lightning catcher George Flores.

The four run cushion was more than enough for Dolphins' ace, Pat Gale, who earned his third win of the season, scattering five hits while picking up nine strikeouts. Gale also was responsible for the final Dolphins' run with an RBI single.

Raul Cordero drove in the lone Lightning run with an RBI single in the fourth.  Lehman's Cubero fell to 1-3 on the season.

Five errors proved to be the Lightning's undoing in the second game as the Dolphins scored in each of the first four innings to put the game out of reach. CSI third baseman Mark Glennerster went 3-for-4 with an RBI on the afternoon, while Cassano collected two hits and scored three runs.

CSI righthander Richard Anderson wasn't quite able to go the distance, instead throwing six innings of two hit ball with six strikeouts.

Lehman starter Justin Moises surrendered nine hits and six runs in his three innings of work to register the loss.

The Dolphins and Lightning are right back at it on Sunday afternoon, as the teams will switch venues for a single game in the Bronx beginning at 12 p.m.
