BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Freshman Aleh Kazak had the game of his life on Tuesday night, scoring three goals in leading the Lehman College men's soccer team to a 4-0 win over Medgar Evers College. With the win, Lehman almost certainly locks up sixth place in the CUNY Athletic Conference, with a 3-5 record.
Kazak (Minsk, Belarus) scored two of his three goals unassisted, and got a helper from Thaddeus Ikwuka (Bronx, N.Y./All Hallows) on his third. Senior Momar Thiam (New York, N.Y.) scored the fourth goal, with an assist to sophomore Wilfredo Arbieto-Lopez (Lima, Peru/Norwalk).
Also starring was senior Frantz Enama (Bronx, N.Y./), who made eight saves and earned the shutout in his first ever appearance in goal.
The Lightning (4-12-1) have a non-conference match slated for Thursday, October 18, hosting Richard Stockton (N.J.) College at 7 p.m. Prior to the match, Lehman will honor the seniors who will be playing their final regular season game in blue and gold.
