Outdoor Track Competes with Division I and II Athletes at Richard Stockton Invite

GALLOWAY, N.J. – The Lehman College outdoor track and field teams competed at the Richard Stockton Invitational over the weekend, and found success. The meet featured teams from across the NCAA, including Divisions I, II, and III.

On the women's side, junior Tobi Alli (New York, N.Y./Castro Valley) had herself a great day. First, she took fourth in the 200 meters, in 26.48, then she captured the long jump, with a distance of 5.31 meters.

Freshman Shameeka Reed (Bronx, N.Y./Pocono Mountain West) ran the 100 meter dash and placed fifth in 14.00 seconds, easily besting several scholarship Division I and II athletes. She was the third Division III runner to break the tape.

For the men, sophomore Norvil Lindsay (Brooklyn, N.Y./Randolph) took seventh in the 400 meter hurdles, while the 4x100 team of Oumar Berte (New York, N.Y./International Community), Thaddeus Ikwuka (Bronx, N.Y./All Hallows - Nigeria), James Oliver (Bronx, N.Y./Mt. St. Michael's), and Ibrahima Souare (Bronx, N.Y./Social Justice) placed seventh.

The Lightning are preparing for the three-day Danny Curran Invitational, held in West Chester, Penn., beginning March 28.
