Men's Soccer Beats John Jay 2-1, Secures #7 Seed in CUNYAC Championships

Box Score NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's soccer team locked up the #7 spot in the upcoming CUNY Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday night, by winning at John Jay College, 2-1, in the regular season finale.

The Lightning will face #2 Brooklyn College in the Quarterfinal Round on Wednesday night.

Tonight, the lightning (5-10, 3-5 CUNYAC) used a pair of second-half goals to beat John Jay (6-10, 5-3 CUNYAC).

Just four minutes into the second session, senior Hugh Campbell (Bronx, N.Y./Evander Childs) took a through ball from freshman Gentian Muhaxheri (Bronx, N.Y./Bedri Pejani, Kosovo), and beat the keeper.

In the 77th minute, Muhaxheri played a crossing ball into the box, where sophomore Essosa Aluyi (Nagoya, Japan/Elmont Memorial) added an insurance goal.

John Jay would score in the 80th minute for the final score.
