BRONX, N.Y. – It's a jam-packed weekend in Lehman College athletics. The softball and baseball teams will both host home-opening doubleheaders, while one high profile student-athlete will compete against the nation's best.

On Saturday afternoon, right around 1:30 p.m., Lehman College sophomore Pierre Francois (Bronx, N.Y./DeWitt Clinton) will compete in the triple jump at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships, at the University of Nebraska's Devaney Sports Center. Francois is one of the 17 top triple jumpers, who have qualified for the national championships. Full real-time results can be found at this link.

Also on Saturday, and a bit closer to home, the softball team will open the 2014 season with a doubleheader against Cedar Crest College on the South Field. First pitch of the opening game will be thrown at 12:30 p.m. Live stats for both games will be available at this link.

Baseball, meanwhile, is playing a four-game set with the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Saturday's doubleheader will be played out on Long Island, while Sunday's games will be right here, on campus, on the South Field.
