Baseball Drops Doubleheader at St. Joseph's of Brooklyn

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – The Lehman College baseball team dropped both ends of their doubleheader to St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon. The Bears won the first game 10-1, and the second, 10-2.

In the opener, Lehman (1-9) scored its sole run in the second inning, thanks to a sacrifice fly to left field from junior shortstop Stephen Smith (Yonkers, N.Y./Saunders) that scored junior outfielder Tom Liang (Bronx, N.Y./Manhattan Center).

In the second game, Lehman scored one run in the fourth inning, as junior infielder Danny Rodriguez (New York, N.Y./Pennsbury) reached base on a dropped fly ball to right field that scored Smith. In the top of the seventh, Tom Liang connected for a single RBI single that drove in senior outfielder Michael Liang (Bronx, N.Y./Manhattan Center).

The Lightning will be back in action on Thursday, March 27, for a non-conference duel with Ramapo College on the South Field. The single game will start at 5:00 p.m.
