Box Score

BRONX, N.Y. - The Lehman College baseball team fell to Ramapo College, 12-2, in non-conference action on Thursday afternoon. The game was played on a cold South Field.

The Lightning (1-10) scored both of their runs on sacrifices. Junior first basemen Carlos Alcantara (Yonkers, N.Y./Saunders) drove in a run on a sacrifice fly that scored senior outfielder Kevin Hernandez (Bronx, N.Y./DeWitt Clinton) in the bottom of the first inning. Then, in the bottom of the third, junior shortstop Stephen Smith (Yonkers, N.Y./Saunders) grounded out to first that allowed freshman third baseman Thomas Montilli (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) to score from third.

Lehman will be back in action on Saturday, March 29, to open up CUNY Athletic Conference play against the College of Staten Island on the South Field. The doubleheader starts at 12:00 p.m.
