GLASSBORO, N.J. – The Lehman College men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed in a tri-match at Rowan University with Georgian Court University on Friday afternoon.
Junior Allie Bernasconi (Fishkill, N.Y./John Jay) led the way for the women by earning third place in the 200 meter dash, with a time of 26.10. Junior Jhanelle Mullings (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) finished in eight place, in 27.09.
On the men's side, sophomore Darian Livingston (Mt. Vernon, N.Y./Thornton) was a triple-winner for the Lightning. He won the 100 meter dash with a time of 11:09, and the 200 meter dash in 22.34. Additionally, he was a member of the first place 4x100 meter relay team.
Sophomore Pierre Francois (Bronx, N.Y./DeWitt Clinton) was a double winner, winning the triple jump event (14.35m), in addition to being on the winning 4x100 relay team.
Joining Livingston and Francois on that relay were sophomores Dashaun Michie (Bronx, N.Y./Samuel Gompers), and Adalberto Rivera (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman).
Michie earned second place in the 400 meter dash, finishing the race in 51.69. Freshman John Pollina (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville) had a second place finish of his own, finishing the 1500 meter run in 4:02.79.
The Lightning will head to Galloway, N.J. next weekend for the CTC Championships. The meet will take place on Friday, April 18, and Saturday, April 19.
