Box Score BROOKLYN, N.Y. – On Saturday evening, the Lehman College men's soccer team took a 5-4 defeat at the hands of Medgar Evers College. The CUNY Athletic Conference match was played at Aviator Field.
Lehman sophomore Essosa Aluyi (Nagoya, Japan/Elmont Memorial) scored just 12 minutes into the match as the Lightning (1-6, 0-1 CUNYAC) jumped out early. But MEC (2-2, 1-0 CUNYAC) responded with five unanswered goals to take a commanding lead with less than 30 to play in the match.
Senior Jonathan Moallem (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) scored in the 70th minute, followed by Aluyi's second and third goals of the game, but the rally fell short.
Lehman will now open up a five-game homestand, beginning September 24, against Baruch.
