Box Score The men's soccer (7-6-1:3-3-1) team posted a 1-1 draw to CUNYAC rival Brooklyn College (7-5-2:4-1-2).
The Bulldogs stuck first in the 13th minute. Marco Thimm-Kaiser found the back of the net from inside the box. An assist was awarded to Jerry Morales. However, at the 34:00 minute mark Maurice Whyte curled in a corner kick to give the Lightning got the equalizer. The Lightning dominated most of the first half and had three good chances to take the lead in the opening five minutes but was unable to capitalize on any of them. Lehman owned a 12-6 advantage in shot at half-time but playing down a man most of the second half and all of double overtime the Bulldogs ended the contest with a 19-18 advantage in shots.
Lehman goal keeper Irvin Barreto was credited with nine saves while his counterpart Ilya Keygen recorded six saves. Lehman owned a 10-3 advantage in corner kicks.
In a contest that saw six cards the Lightning played a man down most of the second half and all of both overtime periods but were able to hold on for the key tie.
Lehman will host John Jay on Wednesday at 4:00 PM in a pivotal conference match-up that will determine whether or not Lehman will host a quarterfinal play-off game on 28th.
