Box Score PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Lehman College baseball team continued its winning ways, by defeating Manhattanville, 11-5, at Manhattanville Field on Tuesday afternoon. Lehman has now won four games in a row.

Lehman added to its lead in the fourth inning, as senior shortstop
Jhon Comas (Yonkers, N.Y./Gregorio Luperon) drove in two runs on a single, to give the Lightning more breathing room at 6-0. He added an RBI single in the sixth, to extend Lehman's lead to 7-0. Sophomore outfielder
Socrates Arevalo (Bronx, N.Y./South Bronx) added an RBI double in the eight, while senior first baseman
Carlos Alcantara (Yonkers, N.Y./Saunders) produced a run-scoring single in the ninth.
On the mound, sophomore
Thomas Montilli (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) started and earned the victory, holding the Valiants hitless through the first 5.1 innings. He went seven-plus innings, giving up five earned runs on three hits, while striking out four batters. Senior pitcher
Stephen Smith (Yonkers, N.Y./Saunders) pitched two scoreless innings in relief, retiring all six batters he faced and fanning three of them.
For the game, Lopez scored two runs on two hits, including a double. Comas had three total RBI. Arevalo scored two runs, while Alcantara went 2-4, with two runs scored and an RBI. Sophomore catcher
Matthew Prevosti (Staten Island, N.Y./CSI H.S) walked twice, scored two runs on one hit, and drove in a run.
The Lightning will travel to Long Island on Wednesday, to battle St. Joseph's College of Long Island, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
