BRONX, NY --- The Lehman College baseball team lost both ends of their double-header against New York University on Saturday at MCU Park in Coney Island in the Bronx, 6-2 and 10-4, respectively.
In the first game, Lehman junior third baseman
Juan Arias (Bronx, NY / Norman Thomas) came to plate down 4-0 in the top of the fourth and hit an RBI groundout to get the Lightning on the board. Lehman scored another RBI groundout in the top of the seventh, courtesy of junior catcher
Matthew Prevosti (Staten Island, NY / CSI H.S.).
The second game saw the Lightning strike first as junior first baseman
Christopher Lopez (Bronx, NY / Lehman HS) came to the plate with the bases loaded in the top of the third and hit a bases-clearing three-RBI double to right field, putting Lehman up 3-0. The Lightning scored again off an error in the top of the fifth, but that was as close as they could come.

Natanael Toribio (Santiago, DR / Cenapec) recorded three hits on the day, scoring twice. Sophomore center fielder
Carlo Francisco (Yonkers, NY / Yonkers) finished with two hits.
The Violets of NYU (17-21) have won five of their last six games while the Lightning of Lehman (8-26) have lost their last seven games.
