Staten Island, NY – The Lehman College baseball and softball teams continue their quest for a conference championship as they play at Staten Island in Day 2 of the respective championships.
The baseball squad will take on John Jay in an elimination game at 1:00 PM. The Lightning and Bloodhounds each won their first game of the championship and fell in their second games. Lehman downed the University of Maine at Presque Isle before falling to CSI. The Bloodhounds downed CCNY and fell to Baruch.
During the regular season the Lightning and Bloodhounds split games. Lehman came out on top 6-0 and fell 6-5.
The Lightning got to this point in the tournament by defeating the Owls 8-2 and falling to top seed CSI 8-3. The Bloodhounds defeated the Beaver 5-4 and fell to Baruch 14-1.
The winner will move on in the tournament and play later today at 7:00 PM. The loser's season will come to an end.

The softball team won a play-in game on Thursday night 14-12 in 11 innings over John Jay to advance to the double elimination part of the tournament.
Lehman will take on top seed CSI at 12:00 PM. The winner will than play again at 6:45 PM while the loser will play at 4:30 PM against teams to be determined. The other half of the draw includes Hunter and Baruch.
