Bronx, NY – The Lehman College women's soccer team will kick-off their season at home against Maritime College at 5:00 PM this afternoon. 

The Lightning are the defending regular season CUNYAC Champions.  During the 2015 campaign they set a program record with 14 victories.  Head Coach Casey Melilli is the two time reigning CUNYAC Coach of the Year.  Look for CUNYAC Player of the Year Chelsey Harris to continue her prowess around the net.  Last year she netted 26 goals to rank amongst the nation's leaders in goals scored. 

Maritime has one game under their belt.  Last night they defeated Kings College 2-0.

If fans can't make it out to the south field they will be able to follow all the action on line.  The Lehman Athletic Department will be streaming the game weather permitting.  Fans can also following along via live stats.

The men's soccer team is also in action today.  The Lightning will travel to Bronxville, NY for a 7:00 PM kick-off against Sarah Lawrence. 
Lehman stands at 0-0-1 after a 1-1 tie at the College of Old Westbury yesterday afternoon in the season opener for both teams.  Omar Moro scored a fantastic goal from the top of the penalty box that found the upper corner of the goal.

The contest is Sarah Lawrence's first of the season.
