Both the Lehman men and women will be in action later today. The men host Medgar Evers at 6:00 PM on the South Field while the women travel to John Jay for a 4:00 PM kick-off on Randall's Island.
The Lehman women have won their last four and now own a 7-6-1 overall record and a 3-1 mark in the CUNYAC. In their most recent outing the Lightning posted an 8-0 victory over Medgar Evers in which six different players registered a goal. Lehman got a pair of markers from
Daniela Castro and
Valeria Rojas Alingue. Dasiy Gomez,
Sheila Davila,
Emily Herrera and
Melanie Siranaula also found the back of the net. The Bloodhounds are 6-7-1:3-0-1 having drawn 2-2 with City College the last time they took the field.
With their 1-0 victory over CSI this past weekend the Lightning have clinched the number one seed in the upcoming CUNYAC post-season tournament and have guaranteed themselves a first round bye as well as a home game in the semi-finals. Today the Lightning host Medgar Evers in the final CUNYAC regular season game for both teams. Lehman is looking to preserve an unbeaten streak and remain unscored upon streak in conference play. Lehman enters the contest at 10-3-1 overall and 7-0 in the CUNYAC. The Cougars have struggled this season. Medgar Evers stands at 3-12:2-5 but has won two of their last three including conference victories over CCNY and York.
