The Lehman College men's baseball and volleyball teams will both be in action today. The baseball team opens the season at Drew while the volleyball travels to Medgar Evers for a non-league match.
The new and improved baseball team opens their season this afternoon with a road trip to Madison, NJ. The Lightning will take on Drew University. The Rangers of Drew opened their season yesterday and routed Stevens 10-0.

Carlo Francisco provide a solid core of seasoned veterans. Returning pitchers
Richard Villar and
Jose Albrincole should provide leadership to the pitching staff.
Emmanuel Velasquez and Jeff Ledesma should provide additional strength to a determined group of players.
"All of our guys have bought into what we are trying to do," commented Head Coach
James Cisco. "They are much more confident this year. They believe in the process and they believe in each other."

The volleyball squad now stands at 5-7 overall and 1-1 in conference play after a busy weekend. The Lightning defeated Yeshiva on Sunday afternoon and then opened CUNYAC play by downing John Jay in four sets and falling to Baruch in four sets.
The Cougars are looking for their first win of the season. MEC is 0-7 on the year. Tonight's match is considered to be a non-conference affair and gets underway at 7:00 PM.
