Busy Saturday Awaits Lehman Student Athletes

With the snow and ice finally all gone every spring team in action today.  The baseball squad will down the road to battle John Jay in the third game of the weekend series with the Bloodhounds. The softball squad will get back to action for the first time since playing in South Carolina as they host the College of Staten Island in a noon double header on the South Field.  The Track and Field teams will see their first action of the spring as they head to Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA.  The red hot volleyball team will also be playing on campus.  Lehman will host a tri-match with CSI and Sarah Lawrence. 

On Friday the baseball squad took two games from John Jay and now looks for the sweep this afternoon.

It's been more than two weeks since the Lightning softball squad has seen the diamond.  Since the team returned home from a historic South Carolina trip the Lightning have been waiting anxiously to take to their refurbished diamond on the South Field.  Lehman, still looking for their first victory of the season will battle the College of Staten Island, a perennial power in the CUNYAC.  CSI comes in with a 5-3 record with all eight games played in Citrus Tournament in Orlando. 

The Lehman men's and women's track and field squads will head down to Ursinus College to participate in the Ursinus College Invitational. 

The volleyball is riding a four match winning streak that with a victory two days ago against York.  Lehman will host Sarah Lawrence at 10 AM.  CSI and Sarah Lawrence will take to the main court in the APEX at noon.  In the final match of the day the Lightning will battle the Dolphins of CSI at 2:00 PM.
