Box Score

Montclair, NJ – The Lightning wasted a great pitching effort by Jose Albrincole falling 2-1 to the Red Hawks of Montclair (6-9) in a non-conference game.  The sophomore threw seven strong innings scattering five hits and striking out one. 

The Lightning only managed three hits of their own, a far cry from the 14 they belted out yesterday. 

After five scoreless innings, the Lightning posted the first run of the afternoon in the top of the sixth.  Jeff Ledesma led off the frame with a walk and advanced to second on a fielder's choice.  Ledesma then scored on a single up the middle by Carlo Francisco.  The Red Hawks answered in the seventh.  Montclair was able to load the bases on back to back singles and a one out walk.  A single by Matt Long and a fielder's choice by Brody Labbe plated the two runs. 

The Lightning had a chance to tie the game in the ninth.  Matt Prevosti reached on an error to lead off the inning and advanced to second on a wild throw.  After a strike out and a ground out, the Lightning had a runner on third but the Red Hawks were able to close the door and secure the victory. 

Lehman returns to action Saturday afternoon.  Lehman will host CCNY in a double header at 12:00 PM.
