Baseball, Softball and Tennis are back in action

The Lightning baseball, softball and tennis teams will all be in action today.  Baseball will travel to Montclair State.  Softball will take on John Jay on Randall's Island and tennis will host Baruch.

The baseball team looks to earn back to back victories as they head to Montclair, NJ to face the Red Hawks.  Yesterday, Natanael Toribio went five for five with three home runs to power the Lightning past the Dolphins of the College of Mount Saint Vincent. 14-11. Lehman now stands at 5-7.  The Red Hawks are 5-10 and have won their last two; a 5-1 decision over DeSales yesterday and a 7-0 win over Moravian one week ago.

First pitch this afternoon is at 3:30 PM at Yogi Berra Stadium.  Fans unable to make the trip to Montclair can follow all of the action on-line via live stats.

After a dropping a pair of conference games against the College of Staten Island this past weekend the Lightning softball team will travel to Randall's Island for a 3:00 PM double header against the Bloodhounds.  The Lightning (0-10:0-2) and the Bloodhounds (0-10:0-2) come into today's action with identical records and each are looking for their first win of the season.

For only the second time this spring the Lehman tennis team will take the court.  The Lightning dropped their season opener nine days ago to the USMMA.  Today Lehman will face Baruch in the conference opener. The Bearcats are 1-2.  Their lone victory came last Friday at Rutgers-Newark.  They dropped contests at Yeshiva and Oneonta.   First serve is 3:30 PM.
